Easy 4 Ingredients Guacamole Recipe with Lime Juice

Ingredients
  

  • 2 avocados (large)
  • 1 lime (juiced)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • Cut the avocados in half, remove the pits, and scoop the flesh into a mixing bowl.
  • Cut the lime in half and squeeze the juice over the mashed avocados. Make sure to remove any seeds that may fall into the bowl.
  • Sprinkle the garlic powder and salt over the avocado mixture.
  • Use a fork or a potato masher to mash the avocados until you reach your desired consistency. For a smoother guacamole, mash thoroughly; for a chunkier texture, mash lightly.
  • Taste the guacamole and adjust the seasoning if needed. Add more lime juice, garlic powder, or salt to suit your preference.

Choosing Avocados: For the best guacamole, use ripe avocados. They should be slightly soft to the touch but not mushy. If your avocados are too firm, place them in a paper bag with a banana or apple to ripen them faster.
Adjusting Consistency: If you prefer a smoother guacamole, use a food processor to blend the ingredients. For a chunkier texture, mash the avocados lightly and mix in the other ingredients by hand.
Preventing Browning: To keep your guacamole from turning brown, press plastic wrap directly onto the surface or store it in an airtight container. Adding a bit more lime juice can also help prevent oxidation.
